    what you just told …
what you just told me that some breeders do that (inbreed) so as to look for the “perfect” one and it doesn’t matter if some puppies are born with problems as longs as in the long run find the “perfect” one, am I right?

  4. BetterThanUForSure says:

ok so lets pure it …
ok so lets pure it this way, is it negligence or not?

  5. kaght says:

    i didnt justify it …
i didnt justify it i just said it shows you what problems lie under the surface i never said my opinion of it

  6. BetterThanUForSure says:

    and why are they …
and why are they born with a lack of pigment? have you asked yourself that question? inbreeding increases their chances.

  7. BetterThanUForSure says:

    I know inbreeding …
I know inbreeding is wrong and I don’t think breeders are respectful by profiting out of dogs, my gosh so many pets without a home and they keep breeding, very irresponsable.

    I know inbreeding …
I know inbreeding increases the chances of puppies with deaf problems, there might be other factos as well. And it is sad that people go around inbreeding so as to look for that “best” sample without caring and/or realizing some puppies are born deaf like you said it, “you may have a litter with some problems but…blah blah” so u justified having a puppy with problems as long as you have that “perfect” puppy in the long run, that is sick.

  9. kaght says:

    no inbreeding …
no inbreeding doesnt cause deafness and really a lot of very well respected breeders do it it shows the rececive genes that may have ben hidden otherwise witch can be a good and bad thing you may have a litter with some problem but it helps the line in the long run because it makes you more aware of what you have so you can improve on it. oh and sorry if i seemed snappy with my last comment im so used to the ignorance of people thinking they know everything and refusing to listen or look it up

    kaght:

    yes I …
    kaght:

yes I can’t beleive I wrote it that way. I meant that some owner breed mom and son or sister and brother and that is why they are deaf sometimes, am I wrong?

but my point was that they are beautiful and just like deaf children, they only need more attention.

  11. kaght says:

    Deaf danes are NOT …
Deaf danes are NOT a sign of negligence. They are born from lack of pigment in the inner ear and are a result from a harlequin or merle breeding.

Danes arent very active dogs, not like a retriver or a lab. When mine was a baby she played rough games for about an hour each day and that was it. The rest of the day she was fine entertaining herself
