In most places that takes place outside and with winter conditions it is in the best interest of the dog to have a coat as Great Danes are not long haired dogs and do not adjust well to the cold. She is a Stunning solid chocolate color. I have ran across so much negativity on this color Gene and I really dont understand why people are so anti Chocolate ? There is a great dane club out of San Antonio and they were so Bitter on the color it was absolutly disgusting. How can anyone say that these dogs are not acceptable when they are full blooded just as there standard 6 colors are. I think the color makes mine all that more special then any other.
